Open Innovation Just Got Easier

This week we’re launching our new free open innovation toolkit. Our existing toolkit has been a success – with over 3,000 subscribers globally – and we’re building on our experience these past 3 years by iterating!

We have designed our toolkit to be used by those new to open innovation and old hands alike. It consists of 30 tools covering the whole open innovation journey from setting a strategy for collaboration to implementing mutually beneficial business models. It helps to make the case for open innovation and shows how to co-create or crowdsource relevant ideas, prototype the best ones and construct strong partnerships.

This toolkit revisits old favourites like ‘Give|Get’, ‘Open Innovation Manifesto’ and ‘Vectors’ in the light of user feedback. It also introduces new thinking in the form of an ‘Interesting Question’ tool for getting the most from crowds and a ‘Navigator’ tool to help firms get orientated in an open world.

In case you’re wondering, all the tools are under a creative commons licence – i.e. free for you to use and pass on. That is our ‘Give’. Our ‘Get’ is that you continue to provide us with feedback so we can make version 3 in a few years!

We’re changing over from the old to new toolkits on Wednesday 7th June, so after that date, all will be refreshed.

So check out the toolkit here! Please pass on the word or let us have any comments via twitter using use #oitoolkit.
