European data startups are ready to take-off

20. May 2019

What kind of concepts and products can we develop from collected data? The EU project EDI (European Data Incubator) aims to develop data-based business models and use new technologies across countries and industries. Over the last eight months, numerous teams from different European countries have addressed this issue.

“EDI has enabled us to transform our business”

As part of the EDI Demo Day on May 7 at the wavespace Berlin, 6 finalists pitched their data-driven business models based on different data sets from companies and institutions such as Volkswagen Navarra and the TU Berlin. Welcoming 100 investors, founders, mentors and media representatives, there was space to exchange ideas about the concepts and possible synergistic effects. In the coming months, the startups will now focus on networking with corporates and institutions.
