Elon Musk's Top 5 Ideas

Elon Reeve Musk. A business magnate, inventor, investor and a first-mover. Musk is known for his advanced concepts and groundbreaking ideas.

His ideas revolve around the vision to change both the world and the humanity. Because we love ideas and we think everything begins with an idea, here are 5 of Musk’s ideas that are making the world go round.

Linking our brains to a computer

Elon Musk has launched Neuralink, a company developing ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers.. The technology being used is called ‘neural lace’ and it works by placing electrodes in the brain. That would allow people to upload or download their thoughts to a computer. Based in San Francisco, Neuralink is currently hiring. You can see all the open positionshere and maybe even give it a shot!

How about some space tourism?

2017 is a test year but 2018 is when Space tourism becomes reality. Elon Musk has announced that Space X will fly two tourists around moon, already next year, if the testings go well. As mentioned, all testings will be done by the end of 2017, which is approaching very fast. Musk said the passengers will travel faster and further into the solar system, than it has been done before. The preparations and testings include full health checks and training. One of the most interesting questions is definitely regarding the two passengers that will be making history. So, who are they? Elon Musk has only confirmed that it’s 2 pilots who can obviously afford it as the deposit was more than $100 million.

Hyperloop transportation

Hyperloop was first introduced to public by Elon Musk as a concept back in 2013. “Hyperloop is a network of passenger capsules, which rest on a bed of air, within a tube travelling at exceptional speed. Entirely powered by solar panels and travelling at almost the speed of sound, the Hyperloop could get you from San Francisco to LA in just 35 minutes.”

However, building such high speed transportation system isn’t cheap. The route between LA and San Francisco would cost around $6 billion in construction. Additionally, a model that could transfer vehicles would cost around $7,5 billion but would be worth it since more people could use it.

Elon Musk wants people to have access to Wi-Fi from every corner of the world

While some of us can’t imagine waking up and not checking our SoMe straight away, there are people in the most remote areas of the world, not knowing what internet is. Elon Musk wants to change that. His plan is to launch more than 4000 satellites into low orbit. Why? In order to reach those remote areas around the globe. However, he isn’t the only one planning such project. Greg Wyler, founder of OneNet and backed by the Virgin Group has set his eyes on the same goal.

Bored Elon Musk’s Universe

Have you already met Musk’s alternate Twitter personality?

Bored Elon Musk is a twitter profile that will definitely make you laugh. “The sarcastic, witty, and often ingenious account has drawn in over 1 million followers since its creation in 2013. However, the true identity of the user behind it remains unknown. Bored Elon Musk may not be the CEO of any major corporation, but he sure has some damn good ideas on how to make life easier, and the Tesla man himself may want to take a few notes.”

Here are some of the best ideas shared by Bored Elon Musk. While some are over the top, the other ones actually sound like a necessity. However, we can only hope the real Elon Musk will see the real potential and turn it into reality.

Here at Ideanote, we live and breathe ideas. Both the life-changing ones and the funny, failed ones. We have recently wrote about The 12 Worst Ideas of 2017 – part 1 and part 2.
