As COVID-19 continues to change shape and challenge how we manage our teams, our health and our tasks while working remotely, communicators are doing great work to ensure employees remain in the loop.

As you’re working on the messages you want to deliver make sure that you’re also balancing including and involving employees in that feedback loop.

Now is the time for dialogue, over monologue. enable dialogue across the organization

Dialogue has the power to bring people together, to build bridges, to create loyalty.

Now is the time for conversation.

Conversation has the power to convert tacit knowledge - the specialized information that an individual worker knows - into more accessible explicit knowledge shared throughout the organization.

This type of conversation can be managed in a structured “knowledge base” but it can also be hosted in public form. The point is for the conversation to take place, to be collected, to be accessible.

Today’s social tools can enable dialogue across the organization. But the tools are not the answer - it’s the commitment to conversation that makes the difference.

Reduce the distance between your employees, improve collaboration and boost productivity.
