A MEMORABLE EULOGY

Recently a friend lost his beloved sister to cancer. She faced her illness with courage, humor and determination, and she helped her family deal with it in the same way.

During her final weeks in the hospital, she slept a good deal of the time, and consequently missed many of her visitors. She was disappointed when she didn’t get to see them, so my friend placed a guest book on the table by her bed. If she was sleeping when a friend came by, the visitor signed it and left a message for her. When she awoke, she enjoyed reading the thoughts and memories, humorous stories, hopes and wishes.

After she died this book became the text of her eulogy. As it was read, her family and friends were able to laugh and cry together as they remembered this special woman.

I found this idea to be of such value that some may want to use it in their own lives.
