I recently came across a fantastic example of this, which also happens to be a wonderful innovation. It’s a pair of special glasses created by a company called Enchroma , which enables people with colour blindness to see the world like everyone without colour blindness do.

Blind Cap lets them know when to flip at the end of a pool to complete another length, and will be particularly useful for those entering races in the Paralympics. At the moment, when a blind swimmer reaches the end of a pool, they are tapped on the back or on the head by a steward or coach.
