#1,740 – Bacteriophages

Greatest. Idea. Ever.

We may soon be able to fight fire with fire when it comes to the coronavirus by unleashing our own virus to counteract it. The key would be turning to bacteriophages, viruses that specifically feed on bacteria. Forbes explains: “These mini viruses, which are literally called ‘bacteria devourers’ if you know your Greek, will happily munch on bacteria as much as you will let them.

#1,738 – Social Distancing Bracelets

Greatest. Idea. Ever.

I just saw a post on LinkedIn that Mark Cuban shared that really resonated with me: the idea of color coded bracelets that denote our social distancing preferences for when we return to the office. A green bracelet indicates that you are okay with hugs and high-fives. A yellow bracelet indicates that you are okay with talking near someone but not touching them.

#1,736 – Cancel Everything

Greatest. Idea. Ever.

I am a die-hard baseball fan. Borderline obsessed. I literally moved to Arizona to be closer to Spring Training. And I am adamant about one key point: under no circumstances, in any shape or form, should there be a major league baseball season this year. It’s asinine. Playing just 60 games at a time when the pandemic is getting worse, not better, makes no sense whatsoever.

#1,737 – How To Breathe

Greatest. Idea. Ever.

I still vividly remember the first time I went to a Bikram yoga class. It was a real struggle. I could barely catch my breath in the stifling heat, my sanity evaporating with every bead of sweat I produced. For what felt like an eternity, I was doing my best, following my instructor’s guidance, hanging on every word, wondering when the torture was going to end, when suddenly and unexpectedly, my world was rocked, turned upside down.
