We may soon be able to fight fire with fire when it comes to the coronavirus by unleashing our own virus to counteract it. The key would be turning to bacteriophages, viruses that specifically feed on bacteria. PWC’s strategy consulting arm Strategy& recently surveyed 50 Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Digital Officers (CDOs) across Germany, Switzerland and Austria (with additional samples from the US, Japan and the Netherlands). They found that the majority of the surveyed companies have been facing a Scaling-Up Problem : barely 10% of were managing to grow revenue from digital initiatives to more than 5% of group revenue. 40% saw no significant impact from digital innovation.

I just saw a post on LinkedIn that Mark Cuban shared that really resonated with me: the idea of color coded bracelets that denote our social distancing preferences for when we return to the office. A green bracelet indicates that you are okay with hugs and high-fives. A yellow bracelet indicates that you are okay with talking near someone but not touching them.

I am a die-hard baseball fan. Borderline obsessed. I literally moved to Arizona to be closer to Spring Training. And I am adamant about one key point: under no circumstances, in any shape or form, should there be a major league baseball season this year. It’s asinine. Playing just 60 games at a time when the pandemic is getting worse, not better, makes no sense whatsoever.

I still vividly remember the first time I went to a Bikram yoga class. It was a real struggle. I could barely catch my breath in the stifling heat, my sanity evaporating with every bead of sweat I produced.
