I don’t know the first thing about music. In fact, it it wasn’t mentioned in School of Rock I’ve probably never even heard of it. If you want further evidence consider the following…I listen to Christian Rock even though I’m not religious. I don’t own a single piece of music and never have. The last concert I went to was Destiny Child. My favorite band is Evanescence. My go to karaoke song is You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’ from Top Gun. I’m tone deaf but think I could win The Voice.
Suffice it to say, when it comes to lyrics, ballads, melodies, and tunes I’m a hot mess. But I know something cool when I see it and it doesn’t get much cooler than listening to the sound of space! Now you may be saying to yourself, wait a second, if space is a vacuum how can we hear anything in it?! Well, according to Futurism:
“For the first time, music composed from the acoustic waves that blasts out of stars has been made available online.
The music is arranged by Brian Eno, the composer who coined the term ‘ambient music.’ Retrofuturista reports that the music takes the infrasound acoustic waves created by stars and speeds them up until they can be heard by the human ear. The resulting track, ‘Starsounds,’ is as haunting as it is otherworldly.”
Pretty cool, right?! Not as cool as Evanescence but a close second.
Is music made from the acoustic waves of stars the Greatest Idea Ever?
