G-Cloud Digital Marketplace was initiated by the UK Government and it allows public sector organisations to easily review and buy services. It has never been easier to access online database of suppliers, find eligible software providers, compare them and select the best one for the project. It essentially saves the public sector time and costs on the procurement of cloud services.

We still come across many companies, especially in B2B, that do not incorporate a content marketing strategy to effectively reach potential customers. The reasons they give for lagging in this area? A content marketing strategy is not a priority for them. They doubt whether social-first content strategy will work for their companies, because they are different or have customer bases that do not care.

This week we’re launching our new free open innovation toolkit. Our existing toolkit has been a success – with over 3,000 subscribers globally – and we’re building on our experience these past 3 years by iterating! We have designed our toolkit to be used by those new to open innovation and old hands alike. It consists of 30 tools covering the whole open innovation journey from setting a strategy for collaboration to implementing mutually beneficial business models.

I read a post “ See differently, to solve differently ” by Mike Shipulski. He argues that innovation is all about solving problems (new/old) in different ways (new/old). There is great potential in solving new problems in new ways. He also argues that in order to solve new problems, we need to identify the new problems and one way of doing that is to look at the problem in new ways.

Through both empirical data from the field and experimental studies, Karmarkar and Bollinger discovered how shopping with reusable grocery bags influenced consumer behavior. Not surprisingly, they found that people tend to buy more organic foods when they shop with reusable bags.
