Though we usually have experience both with seeking and giving advice, when we put our advice seeker’s hat on, we seem to forget our perspective when we are giving advice. Part 1 of 2: Attuning for extraordinary teamwork. There was an extraordinary team expedition-competition called the Eco-Challenge , sponsored by the Discovery Channel on TV. One year it was held in British Columbia (BC), Canada. Seventy teams of 5 people engaged in an “expedition race” over an 8-to-9-day period. The challenge was to hike over glaciers, mountain climb (rappel, etc.), raft, mountain bike, kayak, and swim.

There hasn’t been a whole lot of buzz coming out of CES this year but one idea that is likely to make headlines is Hyundai’s walking car concept known as Elevate. While I can’t really imagine a car walking on a city sidewalk to pick up passenger from a Brownstone I can foresee a scenario where a car like this would come in handy and that’s in disaster recovery operations as having the ability to walk over obstacles or across uneven terrain could come in handy when roads are damaged or otherwise

Ever since I first saw photographs come to life and move about within the pages of The Daily Prophet in the Harry Potter series I’ve been fascinated by the possibility of one day being able to do that in real life as well. Thankfully I may have finally gotten my wish thanks to a new technology on the horizon known as Photo Wake-Up, that brings static images to life, enabling photographed subjects to walk, run, sit and stand up, all in 3D!
